Of course, I live in a touristy place (Seattle), so sometimes it's nice to just learn about a new place that only has a footnote a travel guild.

A co-worker of mine couldn't believe I was going to . He's from there, never heard of Revision, and just didn't imagine anyone would go for fun.

Personally, I like the less touristy places.

As a side note to , Saarbrücken, DE is a great place. Even on Easter Weekend, when everything is mostly closed, I got to see a lot of cool things outside of the .

Saarbrücken Castle was pretty cool, it is mostly a community center now but the Saar Museum next door let's you explore the now-capped castle moat, which was awesome. There's also some pretty serious history to learn there.

And lots of incredible old buildings/churches to admire.

Looking forward to returning.

@halcy It was great meeting you after all this time. Let's definitely say in touch more frequently. I spent a couple hours at E-Werk this morning for Prizegiving, but I had to head out for final Saarbrücken plans before I left.

I'm on the train to Paris now! I will probably see you at another Revision in the future. I am hooked on it now.

@harrysintonen Hands down my favorite from the party. Everyone was just repeating "What?" the whole time it was on the screen.

Probably the single most impressive entry from the #Revision2024 #demoparty : Remnants by Alcatraz

@halcy Excellent Wii U demo! Thanks for the shout-out!

Problem resolved. My server is now faster and more expensive. 😅

My private instance has been getting overloaded. Might go offline for about an hour to upgrade RAM.

Telling my friends and family I'm at a digital arts festival, but sitting in a darkened warehouse, lit by colourful lamps, LEDs and laptop screens.
It rocks.

There's the #TIC80 jam at 1pm CET (about half an hour from this message). I might well be on stage and attempting something overly ambitious...

Given that I am at a Demoparty, I suppose I should work on my website that I haven't updated in a year.

I just updated the playlist content on prods.page/, I might fuck around and see what kinds of improvements I can make over the weekend.

I have arrived! Amazing that I already know this place thanks to Sofa World.

@mrautio @party I will need to check that out. I have also considered the Revision Satellite at the Bloop Museum.

Heading to E-Werk Saarbrücken for in a about an hour. Looking forward to The Meteorik's and Shader Showdown qualifiers the most today.

First time at Revision after nearly a decade of watching from afar. I enjoy a good convention, but during the pandemic Revision was the only remote event that was actually fun.

First ever Demoparty, actually. America doesn't really do this kind of thing for some reason. Closest I've done is Defcon, which while fun, isn't the same at all.

Made it to Saarbrücken! No mistakes this time. Looking forward to tomorrow!

Also, this city looks fun. I'll need to use some of my time to explore with my wife.
