Andy Ngo's vocal support for known pedophiles

Andy Ngo vocally supported Amos Yee and Ngo posted a selfie with Yee a year after he publicly admitted to being a pedophile.

I have to say, I am still boost shy here at #Mastodon - Simply because of negative experiences from the other "place". I always feel like I may annoy or over-boost - But then I remember, this is how it works here. This is how we support others and find those who interest us. Strange, shifting to a more enjoyable social media platform.

Great timing: Stadia refunded me ~$200 right before the Steam Autumn Sale. It's time to buy some games!

Hardware-wise I don't really have anything other than a GeForce Now subscription 🫤. I am thinking about getting a Steam Deck soon.

So I am looking for games that are playable on GFN and also the Steam Deck.

I am enjoying Mastodon, but was trying to explain it at dinner and someone said that, in the limit, it sounded like RSS done the hard way, and, man, I'm still salty about google reader.

Thanksgiving Dinner / Meat

My wife and I are never much into traditional Thanksgiving fare when we're celebrating as a couple, so we did Veal Parmesan with Marinara, Roasted Asparagus, and Angel Hair Pasta.

Happy Thanksgiving!

So, don't tell anybody, but we're going to announce Palm Pilot emulation in the browser at Internet Archive in the next week or so. I've still got to get descriptions in for the hundreds of apps that are uploaded, and add a few more classics. But if you want to help with that, or just let me know how it's going, ping me here.

But don't tell anybody! It's a secret!

Are there any actually redeemable Pleroma instances, or are they all awful? Seems like every time I investigate one I end up adding it to my suspension list...

Me, reading George Orwell's 1984: "Wow, this is just like 1984."

Considering watching this, but somehow I doubt the show is going to be as funny as this preview.

What's with email newsletters always telling me it might take weeks to process my unsubscribe request?

It's a database, just remove me from it. It takes literally milliseconds.

I used to be an annual pass member at Seattle's Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), and one of the perks was getting to skip ahead of the general admission line for day passes.

Showed up one day to see a new exhibit, and got assaulted by a Karen who was absolutely furious that I "skipped her and her whole family" in the general admission line.

She got escorted away by security in front of her family, and I got a bunch of free shit.

10/10, would skip in line again. Renewing next time I go.

Sad film about a dog.

Do you have 11 minutes to spare, and don't mind sobbing?

Okay, some notes since I didn't test this exhaustively before I posted about it:

The filter above works pretty well, but I found it to be a bit more effective to fitler "RT" without the "@", and the also filter "twitter.com", which will also filter any link to Twitter.

But if you're here to get away from Twitter, that should really do the trick.

The first black child ever allowed to attend a white school is only 68 years old now.
White parents pulled their children from school. White teachers refused to teach her.
Ruby Bridges now works as an activist & public speaker
This wasn’t a million years ago. /1

This feels appropriate for the second thing I've ever posted to mastodon.

Shamelessly plugging my own site now, where you can generate 50-video YouTube playlists of Demoscene content, sorted by type, including 4k and 64k: prods.page/

I'll keep updating this thread in the future with more of my favorites. Might start a separate Wild thread too.

This is the Vranas instance.
