It's pretty staggering the amount of election disinformation plaguing the Birdsite right now. Just straight up lies about how elections work. Republicans are ramping up for another complete election-denial shitshow.
We need to start acknowledging this as an existential threat to democracy, and treat it like election fraud in and of itself when politicians start repeating these lies in an attempt to overturn legitimate results.

@Alex Yeah, I think that fraudulent accusations of election fraud need to be criminalized. It's also happening in Brazil now that Bolsonaro lost the election to Lula. There are HUGE groups behind the scenes funding protests AND the dissemination of fake news through WhatsApp/Telegram/Facebook/Twitter.
