There is way too large an overlap between people who say "I refuse to live my life in fear" and people who carry a gun everywhere they go because they're convinced people want to kill them.
@Alex They're not convinced people want to kill them. They're HOPING someone tries to kill them. Getting to shoot someone in "self defense" is the fantasy. It's not fear, it's a desire a kill without facing consequences.
Same with folks who have "we don't call 911" signs in front of their homes. Might as well stay "rob this house when we're gone, there are guns to steal".
